American Ryan Moore won a three-way play-off against Kevin Stadler and Jason Bohn to claim the Wyndham Championship at Greensboro.
Moore birdied the third extra hole to see off Stadler after Bohn was eliminated two holes earlier.
England's Justin Rose, who began the day one shot behind the leaders on 13 under, fired a final round 68 which left him two short of the US trio.
Spain's Sergio Garcia finished with a par 70 to miss the play-off by a shot.
Garcia was erratic hitting three bogeys as he blew a three-stroke lead midway through the final round to finish on 15 under.
However, the Ryder Cup star could still have made it a four-way shootout but his 35-yard bunker shot on the 18th rolled an inch wide of the hole.

Moore, who had never won a PGA tour title, made five consecutive birdies on the back nine to finish tied on 16-under-par and force the play-off.
Bohn was eliminated on the first play-off hole after he had trouble escaping the bunker on the 18th as his first shot rolled back into the sand.
And when Stadler's second shot on the third play-off hole skipped off the back of the green Moore landed his approach in the middle of the green, rolled to 6 feet from the hole and then sank the putt.
"This is amazing. For this to be my first PGA Tour victory makes it even better," said Moore, the 2004 US amateur champion.
"I just want to soak it in.
"It felt like an uphill battle just to get to this point. I tried to stay positive through it all, including fighting through injuries and it worked out for me."
